WELCOME

Step One Foundation is a registered non-profit based at Kolkata, India. It works in the areas of education and health without any discrimination regarding age, race, caste, religion or socio-economic condition.

The foundation believes in holistic and creative approach in helping people including children to achieve maximum human potential and to improve quality of life.

Step One Foundation, among its objectives, emphasizes the need of evidence-based research projects in collaboration with organizations and individuals of national and international repute to find effective solutions for various problems related to education and health.

The center of the foundation was formally inaugurated by Mrs. Lee-Alison Sibley on 17th February 2005 in presence of Mr. George M. Sibley, the outgoing Consul General of United States of America and several other distinguished guests.

During its more than three years of existence, the foundation has completed three research studies and published the results. It also organized several workshops/seminars and awareness programs in and around the city.

Our Commitment

International Society for VibroAcoustics of Norway, Acouve Inc of Japan and Step One Foundation of India have jointly donated a VA Therapy bedpad to Nirmala Kennedy Center of Missionaries of Charity at Kolkata founded by Mother Teresa.

The bedpad is being used for the treatment of center's inmates with cerebral palsy.
